Mary Kom Trailer : yet another powerful performance by Priyanka Chopra
After her amazing performance in ‘Barfi‘ and ‘Saat Khoon Maaf‘ , PC is all set to stun you again in ‘Mary Kom‘ !
The Trailer was unveiled at an event in Mumbai today by Priyanka Chopra and she has received huge applause from fans for her role. Priyanka Chopra portrays the role of Five times women’s world boxing champion and Olympic bronze medalist, Mary Kom.
The trailer shows Mary Kom’s struggle from rebelling her father in learning boxing, to her intense workout , falling in love, getting married and then pursuing her career. Priyanka looks totally in her character and thanks to her trainer Samir Jaura, who also trained Farhan Akhtar for ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag‘ , she looks like a deadly boxer. Priyanka has done complete justice to the intense character.
PC has even learnt the Manipuri accent well and her hard work is evident in the trailer. The trailer looks quite similar to ‘Bhaag Milka Bhaag’ considering both are biopics.
In one of the scenes, Priyanka is shown bald. Only after watching the movie, it will be clear why PC went bald for the scene.
It is really interesting to see the actor transformed from her stunning diva image to an athletic on screen. The trailer looks very promising and surely was worth the wait. It’s absolutely enthralling watching her doing ‘the flag’ in the trailer and shows how Mary Kom became a big name.
Directed by Omung Kumar and Co-Produced by Viacom Production and Sanjay Leela Bhansali , movie is slated to release on 5th Sept, 2014.
