Boss:

This action masala film is directed by Anthony D’Souza, whose last project Blue was a washout at box office. It is produced by Cape of Good Films & Ashwin Varde Productions, while Viacom 18 Motion Pictures is distributing the movie.

Akshay Kumar is playing a kind hearted Haryani gangster named Boss with no female lead paired opposite him. Other members of the starcast features Shiv Pandit (Shaitan fame), Mithun Chakravarty (playing Akshay’s father), Denny (playing Akshay’s mentor) and the glamour quotient will be filled by Aditi Roy Hydri while the main focus is on our antagonist , a ruthless wicked police officer played by Ronit Roy.

The movie has already made some mark before its release when it entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest poster after beating Michael Jackson‘s This Is It.The poster was 58.87 metres wide and 54.94 metres high. Moreover, it is releasing on 3700-3800 screens worldwide.

The movie is a remake of Malyalam film Pokhri Raja starring Mammotty, Prithviraj and Shriya Saran.

Akshay Kumar is in very much need of a universal hit this year as his last film Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again didn’t click While Special 26 was a Semi-Hit.

  1. Phew, so glad I haven’t seen this movie. Granted, I love Akshay Kumar, but he just doesn’t always choose the right projects. I like the dilougue “Boss jab fodta hai to ek ek ko phodta hai”, Akshay Kumar dilouge are superb in this movie
